MISSIONS Ministry

The NBCC Missions Ministry spreads the Gospel through prayer, financial resources, and personal sacrifice of time and service. We seek to serve locally and globally for the cause of Christ, by attempting to minister to the total man: mind, body, and spirit. The Home Missions facet includes activities in the Matthews community and areas located throughout the city of Charlotte, as well as  canvassing the neighborhood to spread the gospel.  In addition, partnerships with local community agencies (e.g., homeless shelters) is an avenue we seek to utilize. Future goals include establishing a Food Pantry or Clothes Closet for those who are homeless or in need of basic necessities.

The Foreign Missions component seeks to respond to Acts 1:8: “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”  Because the Gospel is not reserved only for those in our neighborhoods or who belong to our racial or ethnic background, we are charged to spread the Good News of salvation everywhere.  Activities range from short-term  initiatives in various states and countries to hosting Evangelistic Crusades, Medical Expeditions, Building Projects or Vacation Bible Schools.
